Routine Maintenance for Automation and Production Line Solutions

Jul 13, 2026

Routine Maintenance Schedule
Daily (Pre-startup): Inspect the equipment exterior, conveyor belts, chains, and rollers; remove surface dust and material residue; verify that sensors, indicator lights, and wiring are functioning correctly; and run the system without a load for 3–5 minutes to ensure smooth operation (free of abnormal noises or jamming) before commencing production.
Daily (Post-shift): Shut off the main power supply; thoroughly clean equipment surfaces and hard-to-reach areas at workstations; apply dust protection measures; and prevent the accumulation of debris that could cause wear on core components.
Weekly Maintenance: Thoroughly check the tightness of fasteners on the frame, workstation equipment, and conveyor assemblies, tightening any loose parts; apply specialized lubricant to drive components such as chains, bearings, gears, and guide rails, carefully controlling the quantity to avoid dust accumulation.
Monthly Maintenance: Conduct in-depth inspections of the operating status of motors, servo units, PLC control systems, and sensors, checking for wiring degradation or short-circuit risks; calibrate workstation parameters such as conveyor speed and positioning accuracy; and clean dust from the interior of electrical control cabinets to ensure proper heat dissipation.
Annual Comprehensive Maintenance:Disassemble and inspect core drive mechanisms; replace severely worn belts, bearings, and seals; comprehensively test the performance of electrical control systems and drive modules; and perform full-system parameter calibration and program backups.

Specialized Maintenance for Core Systems
Mechanical System: Regularly check the tightness of bolts at critical connection points-such as guide rails, lead screws, and gearboxes-to prevent positioning errors caused by vibration-induced loosening; keep moving parts clean to prevent accelerated wear from metal filings or dust; and periodically calibrate repeatability accuracy using precision instruments.
Electrical Control System: Regularly remove dust from the interiors of PLC control cabinets and servo drive cabinets, and inspect terminal blocks for looseness or oxidation; clean the sensing surfaces and lenses of photoelectric sensors and vision systems, and periodically calibrate detection accuracy; and regularly back up critical data, including PLC programs and equipment parameters. Hydraulic and Pneumatic Systems: Check the sealing of cylinders and solenoid valves, and promptly address any leaks; regularly monitor oil levels, oil quality, and system operating pressure; replace hydraulic fluid and filter elements; and drain accumulated water from the lines to ensure smooth power transmission.
